EUROPEAN COUNTRY QUESTIONSUNTIMED PRACTICETWO WAYS TO PLAY

Identify a country or find it yourself

In four-choice mode, name the highlighted country. In Recall first, read the country name and select its location on an unlabelled world map. This quiz restricts the questions to Roam’s European country group; the map can still show neighbouring regions for context.

Start with ten questions, then open Practice settings to change the round length or explore another region. The map uses simplified boundaries, and very small countries that cannot be represented clearly are excluded from map questions.

Use shapes and neighbours as clues

Begin with coastlines and larger shapes. Then connect inland countries to the neighbours you already recognise. Instead of learning a point in empty space, learn a relationship: north of, next to, or across the sea from another country.

Use the atlas between rounds to explore country locations. During play, the learning-progress display avoids country details that could reveal the answer.

Keep your map knowledge growing

Every answered question contributes to your local learning history. Review mistakes brings missed countries back into practice. Map skills have their own progress lights, separate from flags and capital cities.

Regional groupings and simplified borders are educational references, not statements on sovereignty. Read Roam’s coverage notes for more about the map and country data.
