Which countries count? How does it work?

This challenge uses 195 countries: the 193 United Nations member states, plus Palestine and Vatican City. Territories and other states are outside this quiz’s set. Borders on the simplified map are illustrative.

Type one name at a time. For names that begin another country’s name (such as Niger and Nigeria), press Enter to accept the shorter name. There are no hints or multiple-choice answers. Switching tabs does not pause the timer. Your round is saved in this tab when browser storage is available.
